Garlic in the Drain

There once was a house at the end of a street
Built next to an oak in the midst of concrete
Two stories it had and under the roof
Two brothers there lived, from each other aloof

One day the older one of the two
Had eaten a lot and needed to poo
So he took to the toilet, he was anarchically in pain
And after the deed he spotted garlic in the drain

"Garlic in the drain?", he wondrously wondered
"How did it get there?", he thoughtfully pondered
But the answer, to him it came very quick
It had to be the fault of his brother that dick

Now why should he give in, clean up another's mistake?
It was his brother who did wrong for fuck's sake
So he just left it in the sink and went about his day
And the garlic in the drain was thus allowed to stay

A couple days passed and nothing had changed
The garlic, untouched, remained in the drain
And whenever the boy noticed he cared a bit less
For he got used to the garlic and grew blind to the mess

But then at some most unusual day
The house was empty, everyone was away
And suddenly, without any rhyme or reason
The garlic commited an act of treason

It grew large, incredibly large, it was quite astounding
Although in doing so it destroyed its surroundings
First the dirty old sink and the clogged lavatory
Then the bathroom walls and the whole second story

Until at last the house collapsed, looking like it had famished
By which time the garlic had already quickly vanished
And upon the return of the two boys from school
They stood in the ruins, each one like a fool
