As she questioned her, who I had brought –
I wonder what went through her head.
Later inside, she passed us by,
Acknowledging her, but to me it seemed odd –
As if she suppressed something behind her smile.
Then, when she left, she caught me alone,
Closing the distance to bid me farewell –
With a touch of my arm.
